Latin America: Upsurge in public interest for Maharishi's programmes

With the expansion of Consciousness-Based Education in schools across within Latin America, the continent has been seeing a heightened interest in the Transcendental Meditation Technique, as well as other programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

'As a result of the expansion of Consciousness-Based Education on the continent, and efforts to sustain invincibility for both the whole continent and many of its nations, coherence in the collective consciousness in Latin America has risen dramatically,' reported Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace.

As a result, he said, there has been an unprecedented upsurge of interest in Maharishi's programmes among the public. For example, he mentioned that television programmes in both Colombia and Guyana recently featured segments on the benefits of Transcendental Meditation, with interviews from Global Country of World Peace members.

'In previous months,' said Raja Luis, 'we've brought Transcendental Meditation to others; now, people are seeking us out—inquiring about how to learn TM or how they can contribute to projects in Latin America.' Furthermore, the Global Country of World Peace in Latin America has been receiving inquiries from more and more professionals, successful individuals, and those with a defined interest in the well-being of society. 'We're seeing interest from those who have always wanted to give back to their community, but until now haven't found the right opportunity.'
