Six locations for Maharishi Garden Cities around St Petersburg in Russia
by Global Good News staff writer

Of 15 possible locations for the first Maharishi Garden Cities to be built in Russia, six have been selected for the very good qualities of their sites according to Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, with beautiful forests and fields near lakes. Some are in the vicinity of great parks and palaces of the Russian Tsars, for which St Petersburg has achieved worldwide renown.
Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Global Reconstruction for the Global Country of World Peace, recently explained that this project has already been researched for about ten years, and it seems that now the time has come to engineer a stable, economic project in which affluent citizens of Russia have the opportunity to support a very evolutionary project.
The builders of Russia also have a chance to fulfil the highest ideals of their profession—to build fortune-creating homes in harmony with Natural Law, creating coherence and order in society and for the whole world.
Dr Hartmann showed maps of the six locations in the forested areas around St Petersburg, where organic farms are planned to supply healthy and fresh food directly from the fields and greenhouses. Most of the Garden Cities will be 25 square kilometres; one has an additional lake, which can be connected on the northern side by canal to the Baltic Sea. In the centre of each city will be a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility.
Dr Hartmann read the memorandum of understanding, which was then signed by the delegation from Russia and the Ministry of Architecture of the Global Country of World Peace.
He added that the advantage of Russia and all the Eastern European countries is that the government controls vast areas of land, so the negotiation of land purchases is very easy. 'With the support of the government and with the wealth generated in Russia in the last few years through the export of raw materials, all this has been developing and now seems to be the time,' Dr Hartmann said.
