New Maharishi Vedic Architecture construction in 2008 included a grand marble Maharishi Peace Palace in India, continuing reconstruction of the MERU campus in Holland, and hundreds of homes and apartments to be built in India, Holland, and Serbia.
India Summarizing the achievements of the past year on 8 January 2009, Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Architecture for the Global Country of World Peace, said that Dr Girish Chandra Varma*, National Director of the Global Country of World Peace for India, inaugurated a great marble Maharishi Peace Palace in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. There are also plans for two large green Vastu developments in India.
Holland In Holland, reconstruction of the MERU campus according to the principles of Maharishi Vedic Architecture is continuing. Two buildings were inaugurated this past year in MERU: the palace of Raja Harris Kaplan, Raja of Invincible India, and also a beautiful residence for a special group of peace-creating experts.
Also in Holland, one city council has asked for 200-300 Maharishi Sthapatya Veda houses to be built in the city.
Serbia In Serbia, there are plans for four Vastu apartment buildings. The first 20 apartment units are already under construction, and three more apartment buildings will follow.
*Dr Girish Chandra Varma is also Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan (centre) of India; Chairman of the 160 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group; and President of Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology, in India.
Global Good News has also featured the many other Vedic Architecture initiatives of 2008, including eight new Maharishi Towers of Invincibility around the world, and many initiatives in the United States.
