Expansion of Transcendental Meditation in Turkey in 2008

In 2008, nearly 1,000 people participated in Maharishi's programmes in Turkey. Several hundred people either learnt Transcendental Meditation; received Advanced Techniques, learnt the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme; or attended refresher courses in the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme.
The National Director of the Global Country of World Peace in Turkey spoke on 29 December about these activities teaching Transcendental Meditation in Turkey over the last year.
Many residence courses were held for those practising Transcendental Meditation, he said. There were 200 participants in these residence courses and World Peace Assemblies*.
Hundreds of people also enjoyed Maharishi's programmes in the field of health, including Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology, and treatments at the Maharishi Ayur-Veda clinic, such as Pancha Karma. The National Director also said many Maharishi Ayur-Veda Products were sold.
Dr Ashley Deans, Executive Director of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, visited Turkey in March and November 2008, and had interviews with the press and television and a university vice-chancellor.
Plans are now underway to create Peace Colonies** in all the major cities of Turkey, with 60-100 Yogic Flyers in each place to create invincibility for the nation.
*World Peace Assemblies create coherence and harmony in the nation through group practice of Yogic Flying.
**Peace Colony: A community founded to help create invincibility for a nation, based on the principles of Maharishi Vedic Science and its practical applications for living perfection in all areas of life-featuring a Maharishi Peace Palace, a Maharishi School, a Maharishi Ayur-Veda Health Center, homes, and buildings for group practice of Yogic Flying—all built according to Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.
