22 December 2008
Dr Jon Lipman, Director of Maharishi Vedic Architecture for the USA, recently described initiatives to develop a Maharishi Peace Palace and Vastu community in Hawaii, led by Dr Stuart and Dr Mokihana Zimmerman, Executive Directors of Hawaii for Invincible America.
Please also visit Part I and Part II of this article.
During the celebration inaugurating the new Maharishi Invincibiity Center in Honolulu, Dr Stuart Zimmerman announced a Hawaii Winter World Peace Assembly and Residence Course (for practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Technique and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying).
The course will be held in late February, 2009, and will be conducted by Dr Alarik Arenander, Director of the Brain Research Institute at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
As a special feature of the course, Dr Arenander will provide a 'brain map' for every course participant, showing the changes in brain wave patterns during the practice of Transcendental Meditation. (Please visit the Global Good News article 'Scientific basis of Consciousness-Based Education . . .'.)
The World Peace Assembly will be held at a resort with proper orientation according to the principles of Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, in a remote area on the island of Oahu. Currently, the course is designed for citizens of the USA, but it is possible that international guests may also be able to participate.
Course participants can attend for a few days, a week, or 2 weeks. Dr Zimmerman offered a 'menu of options' for people to attend the course and then continue their stay at the resort for a family vacation. Amenities include luxurious swimming pools and a championship golf course, and the resort is located at a famous surfing site.
