New facilities offer guests a taste of Heaven on Earth on Salt Spring Island, 'Island of Ganges', in Canada

Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Invincible Canada for the Global Country of World Peace, recently reported on the success of the first World Peace Assemblies held for practitioners of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique and Yogic Flying on Salt Spring Island off the coast of Vancouver, Canada.

These assemblies mark the initial fulfilment of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's vision for this beautiful location—which he warmly referred to as 'Holy Ganges Island'. In an address in October 2007 he said that this should be a place for guests to come and enjoy Heaven on Earth.

Speaking on the Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Potter said that the land on Salt Spring Island has two beautiful facilities for the activities of the Global Country of World Peace. 'Global Country House' is a perfect Vastu building constructed entirely according to the principles of Maharishi Vedic Architecture. The other facility—which is now called 'World Peace House'—came with the property, Raja Potter said. The building is perfectly oriented according to the principles of Maharishi Vedic Architecture and was recently refurbished.

The World Peace Assembly of Yogic Flyers and a Residence Course for practitioners of Transcendental Meditation were both held in the World Peace House.

To the east, the deck of World Peace House offers an extraordinary view: an infinite expanse of water dotted with islands. '[It's] absolutely heavenly beyond description,' Raja Potter said, commenting in particular on the magnificence of the rising sun and moon over the water.

The participants from both assemblies expressed how much they enjoyed their time there—creating an influence of harmony and coherence through their group practice of Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques including Yogic Flying in this beautiful, peaceful location. They said they are looking forward to returning and enjoying an even longer stay.

One of the assembly participants commented: 'What a wonderful course. Our own facility with a view of the channels and inlets, bays and harbours—a vista of such beauty that it cannot be described. If heaven were blessed on earth, this would be the domain of the angels. We are truly blessed to have such a place to call our own.'
