by Global Good News staff writer

21 October 2008
Speaking on Maharishi Global Family Chat on 20 October, Raja Kingsley Brooks, Raja of Nepal for the Global Country of World Peace, reported on his recent visit to Nepal, where he and Dr Leslie Brooks recently spent 10 days attending very fruitful meetings with local and national government authorities, and Teachers and practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation programme.
Raja Kingsley said that Nepal's National Director, Dr Deepak Baskota, a former member of the national Parliament and Minister of Foreign Affairs for the government of Nepal, as well as a leader of many organizations promoting agriculture and economy in Asia and the Pacific, had created a three-point action plan to create an invincible Nepal. The plan calls for teaching Transcendental Meditation to 10,000 students; transforming the agricultural industry of Nepal to Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture; and transforming over 50 Vedic Pandit schools in Nepal to Maharishi Vedic Pandit schools, thus bringing the Veda back into the Vedic civilization of Nepal.
Raja Kingsley showed beautiful slides of Nepal during the different parts of his tour.
Raja Kingsley met with 12 educators—all practising Transcendental Meditation—many of whom are faculty and principals of schools, and all desiring to start Consciousness-Based Education in their schools. They will soon be taking the 16 lesson course on introducing Consciousness-Based Education into schools.
Mr Baskota recently created a new organization for teaching the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Nepal, called Nepal Maharishi Vedic Foundation, begun at an auspicious Muhurta*, followed by three weeks of performances of the Maharishi Yagya Programme to ensure the success of this new organization.
These Yagyas were performed at one of the most holy spots in Nepal, the Pashupatinath Temple, about which Maharishi Mahesh Yogi had said that if the Global Country of World Peace can take proper care of this temple, invincibility will certainly rise for Nepal and for the world.
* Muhurta: Auspicious moment for beginning a new activity or organization, according to the Vedic science of Maharishi Jyotish.
Global Good News will feature further articles about Raja Kingsley's visit to Nepal in the coming days.
