Colonel Gunther Chasse, a retired German Army officer with 40 years of decorated military experience and Minister of Defence for Invincible Germany for the Global Country of World Peace, recently reported on the rise of invincible defence in countries around the world, including South Korea and the United States.
Speaking on the Maharishi Global Family Chat 2 October he reported news of several events promoting invincible defence sent by US Army Colonel Brian Rees, US National Director of Defence for the Global Country of World Peace. He is a Colonel, a medical doctor, and a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and the US Army War College. He has 31 years of commissioned military service, and was deployed to Afghanistan and several times to Iraq.
He is also the author of numerous books, research papers, and newspaper articles about the use of Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying as human resource-based technologies to prevent terrorism and war.
His books include Terrorism, Retaliation, and Victory: Awaken the soul of America to defeat terrorism without casualties and Heal Yourself, Heal Your World. The latter discusses Maharishi Ayur-Veda medicine. 'The title of his excellent US Army War College programme research paper about invincible defence technology is The Application of Strategic Stress Management in Winning the Peace,' Colonel Chasse said.
Conferences in South Korea
In July, Colonel Rees and Dr David Leffler—the Regional Director of Defense for New York, and Executive Director for the Center of Advanced Military Science at the Institute of Science, Technology, and Public Policy at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA—traveled to Seoul, South Korea. There they gave presentations about Transcendental Meditation, post-traumatic stress disorder, and the Maharishi Effect in conflict resolution. They spoke to the armed forces and also addressed an international conflict resolution conference. In addition, they spoke at the conference on invincible defence technology in Seoul, and also at the Korean Institute for Defence Analysis. One result of these successful conferences, Colonel Chasse continued, was a large article with the headline An Overlooked Proven Solution to Terrorism, which came out in the Seoul Times on 26 September*.
Conferences in the United States
In June, Colonel Rees and Dr Fred Travis, Director of Maharishi University of Management's Center for Brain, Consciousness, and Cognition, gave presentations at a conference on spirituality and law enforcement sponsored by the FBI in Virginia. Colonel Rees also gave presentations on the application of Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying in resolving violence in Iraq and elsewhere at an annual military conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, held in November of last year.
US programmes for veterans
In New England, Transcendental Meditation Teachers are meeting with veterans' centers to offer the Transcendental Meditation Programme to those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and other health problems. Similar programmes have also been proposed in Hawaii.
Global Good News will feature the continuation of Colonel Chasse's presentation in the coming days.
