A momentous summer for Maharishi University of Management and Maharishi Vedic City

Speaking 20 August 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Mario Orsatti, National Director of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace in the United States, reflected on the many significant events that took place at Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.), in Fairfield, Iowa, and in nearby Maharishi Vedic City this past summer.

'It's been the most remarkable summer in the history of M.U.M. and the Global Country of World Peace in the US,' began Dr Orsatti. With a consistently large group of Yogic Flyers in the Invincible America Assembly, surpassing the number needed to create national invincibility, the atmosphere in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City has become enlivened with bliss.

The summer began with the M.U.M Commencement ceremony, featuring the largest graduating class—200 students—in over 20 years. The month of July brought the arrival of more Maharishi Vedic Pandits, which allowed the Invincible America Assembly to permanently exceed the 2,000 mark. On 18 July, the celebration of Guru Purnima drew nearly record-breaking numbers of Yogic Flyers to the Maharishi Patanjali Golden Dome*, many visiting from out of town.

One of the highlights of the later part of July, continued Dr Orsatti, was the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Taste of Utopia Assembly of 1983, during which a record 7,000-8,000 Yogic Flyers (the number required at that time to create global coherence) gathered in the Golden Domes in Fairfield.

'Celebrating this anniversary gave us the opportunity to commemorate the achievement of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, in providing us with such inspiration, and to reflect on the accomplishment of Prime Minister Dr Bevan Morris, who organized this historic course.' The anniversary also highlighted the recent achievement of permanent invincibility for the US, added Dr Orsatti.

* One of two Golden Domes of Pure Knowledge, built in 1979 and 1981 on the Maharishi University of Management campus specifically for group practice of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, by large numbers of participants, to create an indomitable effect of coherence, harmony, and peace—invincibility—for the United States and the world.
