Speaking recently on the Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Mario Orsatti, National Director of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace in the United States, discussed an extension of the Global Family Chat for Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique.

This new dimension of the Global Family Chat came about, said Dr Orsatti, when Raja John Hagelin, Raja of Invincible America and renowned quantum physicist, was inspired by the original Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily over the Internet and via satellite on Channel 3 of the Maharishi Channel. Raja Hagelin believed that regular communication between Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique (TM) would be instrumental in leading America towards invincibility.

The new subset of Global Family Chats, which began as weekly broadcasts and now air every two weeks, give Transcendental Meditation Teachers from throughout the US and Canada an opportunity to hear Raja Hagelin announce the latest news, knowledge, and inspiration from the Global Country of World Peace. 'The broadcasts provide TM teachers with a consistent understanding of the organization's new initiatives, as well as the progress of already existing initiatives,' explained Dr Orsatti. He added that the hour-long Chats also include presentations by the two National Directors for the Global Country of World Peace in the US: Dr Robert Daniels, National Director of Operations; and Dr Robert Roth, National Director of Expansion.

After Raja Hagelin speaks during the Global Family Chats, Transcendental Meditation Teachers have the opportunity to offer questions and comments, which the Raja will then answer either directly over the Chat, or respond to privately. In addition to news from the Raja and National Directors, Transcendental Meditation Teachers have the chance to share their own news of progress in the areas where they live.

The level of interest in these Global Family Chats is very high, continued Dr Orsatti, with an average of 450 Teachers of Transcendental Meditation tuning in each time, and a maximum of 805. 'We're happy that the attendance has maintained itself well over the four months since the Chats began.' Like the regular Global Family Chats, these Chats are archived online, so that Transcendental Meditation Teachers can view them at their convenience, or watch them a second time if they missed any details.
