Raja John Konhaus expresses his wishes for the world

On a recent Global Family Chat honouring his achievements, Dr John Konhaus, Raja of Japan, expressed a vision for the future of the Global Country of World Peace, in the form of several wishes for all those around the world practising Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme, and for the whole world.

Raja Konhaus' first wish was that our lives and our actions are guided by purity. He mentioned a beautiful Vedic expression which says that the success of Kriya or action is dependent upon Sattwa, purity. 'Success of a man's life is dependant on his purity of consciousness, not on finances or intellectual plans or considerations,' said Raja Konhaus.

'And who better embodied that than Maharishi. He started his world tour and his world Movement with one single asset—the purity of his consciousness and the Grace of his Guru [his spiritual teacher]: with no means, with no plans, nothing. And that purity brought the success now that we all have in our lives,' said Raja Konhaus.

Raja Konhaus' second wish was that all our lives move in Maharishi's Grace. Raja Konhaus explained that in one of his last lectures Maharishi expressed so beautifully how his whole life was just moving in Guru Dev's* Grace. 'That is how he experienced every day, just moving in Guru Dev's Grace.'

When Maharishi was asked how all these unbelievable things happened [his lifelong achievements in creating irreversible global invincibility], he said it wasn't him acting; it wasn't that small individuality acting, it was the 'Big I'; it was that Cosmic Intelligence which he was, that was acting.

'But Maharishi liked to call that ''Big I'' the Grace of Guru Dev, that's how he perceived it. That was his link with his Guru. So that's my second wish,' said Raja Konhaus—'that we can act in that same flow of Grace that Maharishi enjoyed with his Guru.'

Raja Konhaus said his third wish was that Maharishi always keeps on guiding us. Maharishi expressed that so many times to Guru Dev—that as long as Guru Dev keeps on guiding us, we are safe and secure. So Raja Konhaus wished that Maharishi guides and continues to guide all of us eternally.

Raja Konhaus' fourth wish was that 'we always feel—we always deserve to feel—that we're doing justice to what Maharishi has given us. . . . Maharishi would always say that now we have accomplished this; now we have done some justice to what Guru Dev has given us.

'So I want all of us to have that feeling. I want that to guide our lives—that we feel that whatever we're doing in our lives, it's doing justice to the purity and completeness of the knowledge that Maharishi has given us. . . .

'There will come a time in our own lives, I'm sure,' said Raja Konhaus, 'when we'll feel we've done this service to Maharishi now. ''Our work is done, we've finished; we've completed our work.'' And just as Maharishi was able to say that in his life he had done justice to what Guru Dev had given him, I hope we can all feel we've done justice to what Maharishi has given us.'
