Continuing his talk at the Global Memorial for Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, featured in Part I of this article, Dr Rainer Picha, Minister of Health of the Global Country of World Peace, spoke about the new Maharishi Vedic Health Centres.
The Maharishi Health Centre is a facility of about 22,400 square metres and is a hospital for about 100 in-resident patients, and 300 out patients, Dr Picha said. One uniqueness of this Health Centre is that it has only one floor. The main entrance is from the East, with a glass roof. Because the building has only one floor, there will be glass roofs not only in the entrance hall, but also on all the corridors, which just from the perspective of light, makes this Health Centre the brightest hospital in the world.
In the middle of the Health Centre is a large winter garden that will be used not only for recreation, but also for waiting and meeting, so that in our Health Centre the patients do not have to be in dark corridors with artificial light. They will wait in a very soothing, pleasant atmosphere. Dr Picha explained that all the corridors are four metres wide. We will provide electric vehicles for all transportation so that no one has to take long walks.
All the rooms will face beautiful gardens, either to the courtyard or to the east. There will be a large garden, with specialists from around the world contributing a special design for healing with plants, trees, and aromas that will fill the atmosphere to further soothe and help with specific diseases.
Dr Picha said that the accommodation will be of luxury standard with double rooms or suites that altogether is more than 40 square metres. They will have their own treatment room for Panchakarma [one treatment of Maharishi Ayur Veda] and other approaches so guests do not have to leave their rooms.
Guests will have also communication technologies—telephones, the Internet, and videoconferencing, 'so that they never feel cut off from their family or relatives: they can feel almost at home. The atmosphere will be quite different from regular hospitals,' said Dr Picha.
Also there are huge four courtyards, each 2,000 square metres, which are also specially designed by our garden architects. The garden itself will have several enclosed areas for meditation, or for our guests to meet relatives in the garden.
Dr Picha said that Maharishi wanted a Tower of Invincibility in the garden; and in the four corners of the garden Vastu fence, there will be flag poles with the flag of the Global Country of World Peace.
The design of the building is based on the design of Dr Hartmann, and on the ancient principles of the Vedic Architecture in accord with Natural Law, which means proper orientation, proper room placement related to the influences of the sun, and the use of natural healthy building materials inside and outside the building. Above all, the building relates precisely to the movement of the sun, planets, and stars to integrate mind and body with the Cosmic Intelligence of Natural Law to support the healing process.
These features of the Maharishi Health Centre create a unique atmosphere and will give a friendly, soothing, and harmonious feeling for all our guests.
Dr Picha expressed his gratitude to Maharishi for being in a position to offer to the world this Vedic Approach to Health in its completeness and with these beautiful health centres that have been designed by Maharishi himself. 'We give all gratitude to Maharishi's Master, Guru Dev*, and to Maharishi's infinite care for his dear world.'
* Guru Dev: Maharishi's Master, His Divinity Brahmananda Saraswati, Jagatguru Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Himalayas.
