Dr Peter Swan, Minister of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace, recently reported on the Maharishi Global Family Chat—broadcast daily via satellite and Internet on Channel 3 of the Maharishi Channel—about the visit to the Global Capital of Raam Raj by the leaders of the Global Country of World Peace, who are now in India for the departing rites ceremonies of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Global Reconstruction for the Global Country of World Peace, took all the assembled Rajas, Ministers, and leaders of the Global Country from all over the world on a tour of the Capital, located in the Brahmasthan—geographic centre—of India.

Dr Swan said there are currently nearly 1,000 Vedic Pandits at the Global Capital in the Brahmasthan of India, but ultimately there will be 16,000 Vedic Pandits.

During the tour, Dr Hartmann said that Maharishi regarded this as the divine capital of India and of the world because of all the Yagyas being performed there constantly.

'The construction plans for the Vedic Pandits and all the other areas of the Global Capital of Raam Raj have already been perfectly laid out,' said Dr Swan. The tour of the Capital covered many hectares all in various phases of construction, and included areas for the Pandits, for Purusha*, for the Rajas, and for the Ministers. All 192 countries of the world will be represented at this administrative capital. Huge areas of the Global Capital have already been completed.

* Maharishi has explained that Purusha means the Self, the quality of infinite silence of the Unified Field of Natural Law. The Maharishi Purusha Programme was designed by Maharishi for men who wish to dedicate themselves fulltime to the most rapid pace of evolution possible and creating world peace. This is accomplished through the extended group practice of the Transcendental Meditation-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying and activity dedicated to the fulfilment of the many programmes of the Global Country of World Peace.

'Purusha is a very ideal programme. . . . It is a wonderful programme for the individual to harness the full creative potential of Natural Law and use it to enjoy bliss. World peace is a by-product of it. Heavenly life on earth is a by-product of it.'
