On a recent Global Family Chat, broadcast over the internet on the Maharishi Channel (Channel 3), Dr Peter Swan, Minister of Communication of the Global Country of World Peace, presented more inspiring photos of the 12 January 2008 Global Celebrations in the Far East.

Dr Swan said that it was a great joy to show more photographs that were sent from many more countries around the world, from their 12 January global flagraising ceremonies. The ceremonies included Puja* to Guru Dev**, groundbreaking ceremonies for the Maharishi Towers of Invincibility, and in a few places, the laying of foundation stones—all in fulfilment of the gift of the 27 Rajas (Administrators) to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, in gratitude for his supreme achievement of establishing irreversible invincibility for the world ovr the last 50 years.

Dr Swan began with the Eastern-most countries where the Sun first rises and moves around the world from East to West.

The slide show began with pictures from Cambodia, the domain of Raja Vikram, where at Maharishi Vedic University the students raised the Flag of Invincibility and made the wish for the invincibility of Cambodia. A residence course was held at the university at the same time, and the participants all gathered for the flagraising ceremony and made their wish together.

In India, in Madhya Pradesh, the domain of Raja Harris Kaplan, there were photographs of Guru Puja** and group meditation held at Chhindwarra School, all organized by Dr Girish Varma, Chairman of the Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group and Minister of Higher Education of the Global Country of World Peace. Students also stood along the top of the school building with the Flag of Invinciblility flying brilliantly in front of the School.

In Bhopal, India, the flagraising ceremony was on the School Sports Day, which always coincides with 12 January; and in Kanpur, at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, teachers assembled for Guru Puja and for flagraising.

From Maharishi's large academy outside New Delhi, in Maharishi Nagar (Noida), slides were shown of large group practice of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme together along with a school building and the performance of Graha Shanti, Vedic performance of Yagya for gaining the support of Natural Law.

Maharishi Veda Mandir in Seoni performed Guru Puja at the very beautiful school there, and there were also flagraisings and Guru Puja at Maharishi Vidya Mandirs at Shadhol, Sultanpur, and Raigarh.

In Raipur, Veda Lila*** was performed, with actors portraying ancient Vedic sages; everyone enjoyed the waves of celebration of invincibility.

At Haldwani, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Guru Puja was held expressing devotion and commitment to create invincibity through Consciousness-Based Education.

Dr Swan then reported on the celebrations in Malaysia, where in Jahore, Guru Puja was performed and the Flag of Invincibility was raised, and offerings for Bhumi Puja****, and groundbreaking for the Maharishi Tower of Invincibility.

* Puja, Guru Puja: the Vedic ceremony of gratitude to Guru Dev and the Vedic Tradition of Total Knowledge, the oldest tradition of knowledge on earth. As Maharishi explained in a recent address, 'The Puja to Guru Dev is the mechanics of nourishing every fibre of the administration of Natural Law, and of nourishing all life on earth.'

** Guru Dev: Maharishi's Master, His Divinity Brahmanand Saraswati, Jagatguru Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Himalayas.

*** Veda Lila: The play of Veda, written by Maharishi, to portray the mechanics of unfoldment of creation from the Unified Field or, in Vedic terminology, the Samhita, or togetherness of Rishi, the knower; Devata, the process of knowing; and Chhandas, the known.

**** Bhumi Puja: Vedic performance in celebration of Mother Earth.
