The international and local media reported on a group of 350 peace-creating experts gathered to practise Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme and its advanced techniques including Yogic Flying in order to create an influence of coherence and positivity during the United Nations Climate Change Conference held 3-14 December 2007 in Bali, Indonesia.

As reported in Part I of this article, the group was organized through the generosity and incentive of entrepreneur, philanthropist, and environmental activist, Mr Declan Murphy.

The reports of the press indicate that, as intended by Mr Murphy, the coherence-creating group supported the creativity and harmony in the decision-making process for all the delegates in their sincere and hard work around the clock to produce a productive outcome.

The New York Times reported that '. . . the mood shifted after a speech Thursday by former Vice President Al Gore, who shared the Nobel Peace Prize this year for helping to alert the world to the danger of global warming.'

Mr Gore gave his speech around mid-day on 13 December, the same time that the coherence-creating group first gathered together.

In addition, The New York Times reported: 'Germany's environment minister, Sigmar Gabriel, who led the criticism of the United States earlier in the week, said Friday, 'The climate in the climate convention has changed a little bit.

'It's true that during the last night and during the negotiations America was more flexible than in the first part of the conference. We very much appreciate this. Not only the Americans but also other parties.'

On Friday 14 December, the group of peace-creating experts was featured on television in Ireland as the first item on the evening news. The report stated that a group of Yogic Flyers had gathered in Bali to support the conference, with the result that the atmosphere changed completely and the United States' attitude became much more positive and flexible. The news was featured as part of the Radio TelefĂs Éireann (RTÉ) correspondents report from Bali.

In the local Indonesian media, the coherence-creating group was front-page news. The Bali Post featured a picture of the experts practising Yogic Flying together with a caption stating that during the United Nations Climate Change Conference, group meditation began on Thursday 13 December. The purpose of this group meditation, the caption said, is to support the decision-making process of the conference delegates.

The Jawa Post also featured a photo of the Yogic Flyers. The translation of the caption read: 'MEDITATE FOR PEACE: The UNFCC in Bali not only featured speeches, negotiations, presentations, and demonstrations, but also another group doing meditation. The purpose of the meditation is to radiate peace to the whole world through the UNFCC Conference.'

In addition, a press release was prepared about the purpose of the coherence-creating group, and this will be featured in Part III of this article.
