Indonesia: Coherence-creating group for United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bali - Part I
by Global Good News staff writer

17 December 2007
A group of 350 peace-creating experts gathered to practise Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme and its advanced techniques including Yogic Flying in order to create an influence of coherence and positivity during the United Nations Climate Change Conference held 3-14 December 2007 in Bali, Indonesia.
The group was organized through the generosity and incentive of entrepreneur, philanthropist, and environmental activist, Mr Declan Murphy.
Mr Murphy, who was appointed as an official delegate of the Irish government's delegation to the conference, saw the value of having a coherence-creating group to support maximum creativity and harmony in the decision-making process for all the delegates in their sincere and hard work around the clock to produce a productive outcome. Coherence was especially important at the end of the conference when government ministers make final decisions, and set targets and plans.
At the start of the conference, smaller groups of peace-creating experts gathered in several different locations in Bali. Near the end of the conference 300-350 experts came together to meditate and practise Yogic Flying at the beautiful, east-facing, traditional Balinese-designed Tourism University (STP) Auditorium, located just a five-minute drive from the conference.
Part II of this article will feature reports from the media about the conference and coherence-creating group.
