Capital of Heaven on Earth in Canada - Part II

On 21 October, Vijaya Dashami, Victory Day, and the 46th anniversary of Maharishi's first visit to Canada, Dr Harris Kaplan, Raja (Administrator) of Canada and India for the Global Country of World Peace, spoke about the Capital of Heaven on Earth in Canada as a home for special groups of peace-creating experts.

The highlight of the celebration was the address of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. (See Global Good News article Commemorating Maharishi's first visit to Canada 46 years ago)

At the end of his address, Maharishi requested Dr Kaplan to describe the Capital of Heaven on Earth, the Capital of Raam Raj on the island of Ganges, in Canada.

Dr Kaplan said that this beautiful land—discussed in Part I of this article—is an ideal location for the Purusha Programme* and the Mother Divine(sm) Programme**.

On this land there will also be a place, he said, for other Yogic Flyers of Canada and teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique 'to come and assemble, and to experience in themselves, the instruction of Maharishi, the instruction from Guru Dev***, ''Pashya, Pashya''—behold that magnanimity of life.'

Dr Kaplan referred to Maharishi's talk during the celebration, saying, 'We were all listening to Maharishi say that he was led by that abstract, invincible Constitution of the Universe, that is there within ''A''. And we are so fortunate that that led him to Canada, and led him past those islands, where he cast a glance, and because of that now [members of the] Purusha and Mother Divine Programmes will have that home which we can say is Heaven on . . . Earth.'

Dr Kaplan also commented that 'When we think back to the world as it was in 1961 in Canada when Maharishi first blessed us with coming, it is not possible to understand how we could have transformed Canada into what it is going to be—what it always was meant to be—that place which leads the world in coherence and peace.'

* Purusha: Purusha are men participating in a programme designed by Maharishi for those who wish to dedicate themselves fully to the most rapid pace of evolution possible and creating world peace. This is accomplished through the extended group practice of the TM-Sidhi Programme.

'Purusha is a very ideal programme.... It is a wonderful programme for the individual to harness the full creative potential of Natural Law and use it to enjoy bliss. World peace is a by-product of it. Heavenly life on earth is a by-product of it.' — Maharishi

** 'Mother Divine' refers to the nourishing, evolutionary power of Natural Law lively within all of creation and within the silent consciousness of everyone. The Mother Divine Programme, inaugurated in 1981, is an advanced programme to allow ladies the opportunity to deepen their experiences of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programmes, including Yogic Flying, and enliven 24-hour bliss in daily life; and to create large, permanent coherence-creating groups to radiate a powerful influence of harmony and bliss throughout the whole world.
