by Global Good News staff writer

23 October 2007
Dr Robert Wynne, Raja (Administrator) of Central Vedic America for the Global Country of World Peace, and Mayor of Maharishi Vedic City, USA, recently presented good news in several areas.
Dr Wynne announced the approval of a state agency in Iowa for a voluntary annexation to Maharishi Vedic City of 86 acres (35 hectares) of land near Maharishi University of Management (MUM). This is where 1,400 square-foot (140 square-metre), US$170,000 homes will be built for sale, 'to those who live here already and pioneers on the Invincible America Assembly. Condominium units and rental properties will also be available in the centre of Maharishi Vedic City, next to the Maharishi Peace Palace' within easy walking distance of its halls for the group practice of Yogic Flying.
Dr Wynne also reported a new design for the next 500 Vedic Pandits' 48-person apartment units, designed so each Pandit will have his own room. Each building will have rooms for Vedic performances, TM-Sidhi Programme practice, and perhaps dining as well. Many Pandits have moved from the MUM campus to Maharishi Vedic City; freeing these areas for Maharishi Purusha Programme participants to use for their silent administration of the countries of the world.
Two final announcements ended Dr Wynne's presentation. First, student enrolment has risen at MUM. Dr Wynne quoted the Vedic text, 'The means gather around purity' that has been created by the Invincible America Assembly and by the growing reputation of the university. Second, he attended a meeting in Des Moines, Iowa, to establish a Raam Bank in Maharishi Vedic City. 'Every city needs a bank and the world needs the Raam Bank,' he concluded.
