Jeffrey S. Abramson announces his plan to build a Tower of Invincibility in Washington, DC--Part I

During a news conference held recently on building a Tower of Invincibility in Washington, DC, USA, Bob Roth, spokesman for the project, said that this Tower will provide an enduring symbol of the knowledge to prevent war and to secure America's peace and sovereignty.

Mr Roth introduced Mr Jeffrey Abrahamson, who is a partner with the Tower Companies, a 60 year old, third generation development firm which has developed more than four million square feet (371,612 square metres) of commercial properties, 3,500 residential apartments, as well as a shopping mall, lifestyle centres, and hotels in the Washington area.

The Tower Companies is the largest developer of green or sustainable properties in Washington, said Mr Roth, with more than one million square feet (92,903 sqaure metres) built or nearing completion, and 1,250,000 square feet (116,129 square metres) on the drawing boards. Some of their notable developments are Washington Square Millennium Building, Tower Building, which was named Green Building of the year, 1050 Kay Street, Whiteflint Mall, and 2000 Tower Oaks Boulevard.

Tower Companies built the first United States Green Building Council LEED-certified apartments in the US, is the largest purchaser of wind energy in the US for any real estate developer, and buys 100% wind energy for all their properties. They recently pledged to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for their portfolio of properties to be carbon neutral starting in 2008.

The Tower Companies has received numerous awards from the EPA and the US federal Department of Energy, and is a recipient of the DC Chamber of Commerce Business Award for 2007 for having placed the word 'Green' in the public vernacular and for their family's philanthropic work in the US capital city and in the nation.

'But Mr Abramson has an expanded vision,' said Mr Roth. 'His passion for safeguarding the environment extends to a passion to safeguard the life of the nation. He says that just as there are knowledge and technologies that can be incorporated by the building industry to prevent pollution and create a clean environment, so there are the knowledge and technologies that can be incorporated by the nation to prevent violence, conflict, and war.

'Mr Abramson is here to announce his plans to build a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility, which is a monument to preventing war. He will read an opening statement and then take questions,' said Mr Roth.
