Dr Aileen Foo, National Leader and Founder of Invincibility for the Global Country of World Peace for Malaysia, reported substantial continuing successes in her country.
Dr Foo mentioned two new developments in Malaysia: (1) the government is developing Penang to be a Global City in logistics, transportation, and infra-structure; and (2) the State Authority of Kedah is recognizing the area and preparing the most ancient, historic part of it for listing as a World Heritage Site. These two facts show that, as Dr Foo stated, 'The Transcendental Meditation Centre of Invincibility in Penang, the lighthouse for Penang, is creating a soothing, positive, and harmonious influence for the region.'
Local practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Technique, Yogic Flyers, and Teachers of Transcendental Meditation commemorated the 50th anniversary of their country's independence, 31 August, during an Invincible Malaysia Assembly in Penang, with simultaneous celebrations also held at the National Transcendental Meditation Centre in Selangor. Dr Foo reported that 'The Prime Minister of Malaysia envisioned that the nation will achieve the unimaginable in the next fifty years—growing and progressing in an environment of greater peace, stability, and unity.'
A government-run exclusive Health and Wellness Centre is being set up in Putrajaya, the new administrative capital. This centre will offer a whole range of traditional and complementary medicine, starting with Ayurvedic therapies. 'Best of all,' Dr Foo announced, 'the Wellness Centre also plans to offer Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique to promote peaceful living and supportive therapy for chronic diseases and for general well-being.' This Centre will offer programmes in meditation, Yoga, healthy eating, and weight management; and it will be included in the medical tourism list, providing world-renowned traditional and complementary medicine.
A presentation on Consciousness-Based Education was given to the Headmistress and all senior assistants of a Malaysian primary school with over 4,000 students. Dr Foo related that more than 80 staff attended. The school intends to seek funding from their Board of Directors for 100 teachers to be instructed in Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique.
Dr Foo also reported that they have located the country's Brahmasthan (geographical centre point) in oil palm plantations in the district of Kuala Lipis, Pahang. Last, Dr Foo said that the 'Transcendental Meditation Centre's ongoing activities include the teaching of the Transcendental Meditation Technique, Residence Courses, Advanced Techniques, TM-Sidhi Programme Invincibility Courses and World Peace Assemblies.'
