On 7 September 2007 The Providence Journal reported: A group of 1,800 participants in the Invincible America Assembly have been creating positivity and harmony—as well as a stronger economy—through their collective practice of the Transcendental Meditation Technique.* It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the fields of world peace and business.
The article reported that according to John Hagelin,** leader of the Invincible America Assembly, the Dow Jones industrial average reached a record high of 14,000 due to the influence created by the group. Hagelin predicted that in the coming year, the Dow would reach 17,000.
Hagelin explained, the article stated, that if the Invincible America Assembly could expand to 8,000 participants the group could create world peace.
