On 3 August 2007 MSNBC reported:
The Invincible America Assembly, a group of 1,800 practising the Transcendental Meditation Technique in Iowa, USA is having a positive effect on the stock market, the quality of life in the US, and the rise of peace in the world.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
The article stated that according to John Hagelin*, leader of the Assembly, when the number of participants 'increases to 2,500 within the next 12 months, America will see a major drop in crime and the virtual elimination of all major social and political woes'. A group of 8,000 would be sufficient to create peace in the world, Hagelin said.
The article reported that according to the group, the 'Dow Jones Industrial Average reaching a record high of 14,022 . . . unemployment rates falling to a six-year low at 4.5 percent, and North Korea shutting down its nuclear reactor' are examples of the positivity created by the Invincible America Assembly.
The article stated that spokesman Robert Roth said that the group is not attempting to persuade anyone that the Invincible America Assembly is the cause of these changes; they are simply creating the effect.
Global Good News comment:
*Dr John Hagelin is a world-renowned quantum physicist and executive director of the International Center for Invincible Defense in New York City.
