Maharishi bestows a new name - 'Centres of Invincibility' - on his Transcendental Meditation Centres worldwide

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, has given a new name to the Centres teaching his Transcendental Meditation Programme worldwide.

Maharishi's announcement came as the result of an address by Dr John Hagelin, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace, to the global Press Conference on Poverty Removal which was held recently under the auspices of the Global Financial Capital of New York.

Dr Hagelin, a world-renowned physicist, explained that poverty removal is a very natural phenomenon. He showed with scientific exactitude how poverty is not only unnecessary in the world today, but untenable from the point of view of modern science.

Dr Hagelin presented the rigorous scientific understanding that the emerging, evolving universe reflects the structure of the Unified Field of total Natural Law, and that the enormous creativity which gives rise to and sustains the entire universe, comes from nothing, from the Unified Field.

Dr Hagelin further explained that all the programmes of the Global Financial Capital of New York, and of the Global Country of World Peace, the parent organization, give the possibility to directly access this infinite creativity of the Unified Field.

On hearing Dr Hagelin's address, Maharishi felt that it was a highly important step in the evolution of intellectual understanding for the whole world, and was moved to announce a new direction for his worldwide Movement.

Addressing Dr Hagelin, Maharishi said, 'You have given a clean check for every Centre in the world. Every Centre of ours that exists in any part of the world has a formula' to put everyone to Cosmic Consciousness, to Unity Consciousness.

'All those who are practising Transcendental Meditation, you have shown them that today they are here, tomorrow they are in a different level of achievement,' Maharishi said.

'So now the Centres of Transcendental Meditation should be called ''Centres of Invincibility'' for every country,' Maharishi said, and he asked Dr Hagelin and Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, to comment on this new name and inform all the leaders of the Global Country everywhere that this is the progress from yesterday to today.

'This is intellectual understanding about what is happening', Maharishi said, and on the basis of this understanding from Dr Hagelin, 'the Movement has taken a high jump from the individual level to the collective level.'
