Dr David Lynch, a world famous filmmaker, artist, and founder of the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace, was recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate for World Peace by Maharishi University of Management. He is currently in Meru, Holland, at the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace, where he had the opportunity to conduct an interview with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Speaking to Dr John Hagelin, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country, about this interview, Dr Lynch explained that Maharishi's sole focus—what he wanted to speak about above all—was peace on Earth. 'You could feel the peace. You could just feel the peace, and I think when people see the interview,' said Dr Lynch, 'so many questions will just dissolve and they'll want what Maharishi has come to give.'
Maharishi has offered two great gifts to mankind: Enlightenment for the individual and peace to the whole world. 'It's beyond the beyond,' Dr Lynch said.
This very special interview spans the whole 50 years of Maharishi's worldwide activity but deals principally with his current focus—making every nation invincible. Previously, the emphasis was on creating national invincibility through the individual citizens of the country, but the aim now is to create invincible nations in a single stroke.
Dr Lynch, who has worked for many years with some of the top personalities and celebrities of our age, said of the interview, 'It doesn't matter who I've met before; I've never come close to meeting anyone as important to me as Maharishi.'
'Maharishi just outshines any roomful of the greatest individuals on this earth . . . .'
This interview will air very soon on the Maharishi Channel via satellite and over the Internet.
