On 16 February, in a global satellite broadcast, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi celebrated Maha Shivaratri, the highly auspicious annual Vedic celebration dedicated to Shiva, also known as Purusha, the silent administering intelligence of Natural Law—the infinite silence at the basis of all activity in the universe.

Following traditional Vedic recitations with Puja, Maharishi said that 'having done today fortunately the great Puja of the year, we will continue establishing the Capitals of Raam Raj throughout the world.

'It's a delightful duty to Guru Dev* that as soon as possible we have capitals of Raam Raj in every country. All Glory to Guru Dev.'

* Guru Dev is Maharishi's beloved Master, His Divinity Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Himalayas.
