Maharishi Peace Palaces planned for Southern California
Global Good News Translate This Article
16 February 2007
Raja John Konhaus, leader of the Global Country of World Peace for the domain of California, has three Maharishi Peace Palace projects planned for three different locations.
1. Raja Konhaus has located 522 acres (211 hectares) of pristine land east of San Diego for one new Peace Palace project. It is a perfect Vastu (situated according to the principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda), surrounded by Native American Indian land, and hasn't been built on for over 1,000 years. The land is dark black organic soil, very fertile, with artesian wells, and thus is perfect for Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture.
At an altitude of 4,000 ft (1.2 km), and the same latitude as Delhi, the climate is very similar to that of northern India. Raja Konhaus said that the group of Vedic Pandits—peace-creating experts who will reside at the Peace Palace—will feel very much at home, as the area has the same feeling as the Brahmasthan (central point) of India.
Architects and engineers have planned 12 different building sites as housing and dining complexes—each with an area of 25,000 sq ft (2,300 square metres), for a total of 300,000 sq ft (27,870 square metres), to accommodate 1,008 people.
2. A further 60 acres (24 hectares) of land at Lake Arrowhead are earmarked for a Maharishi Medical College, with 12 residential buildings for students. Land acquisition is in process nearby for building both men's and ladies' campuses. These will serve the whole Los Angeles basin, with a population of 18 million.
