The Kansas City Star Translate This Article
8 February 2007
On 8 February 2007 The Kansas City Star reported:
Transcendental Meditation is regaining popularity thanks in part to the recent efforts of filmmaker David Lynch and the musician Donovan.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
The article stated that Donovan and Mr Lynch have joined together to promote Transcendental Meditation by giving several concerts in the [past] few weeks on the east coast.
The article also explained the history and benefits of Transcendental Meditation and that 'there has been a surge in recent planning for 3,000 ''Peace Palaces,'' centers for meditation, incorporating spa treatments and holistic health approaches.'
Dr Bill Sands, director of the Maharishi Enlightenment Center in Paoli, PA, who was interviewed for the article, observed that TM, together with all its affiliated programmes including Vedic agriculture and Vedic approach to health, is even more meaningful today because of the 'growing dissatisfaction with the medical system, a dissatisfaction with food production, a growing concern for all aspects of the environment.' Because of these concerns, he said, 'People are opening the door to alternatives.'
Global Good News note:
This same article also appeared in The Minneapolis Star Tribune as Transcendental meditation makes a comeback on 26 January 2007, and as TM regaining in The Times of Trenton on 9 January 2007.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
