In his message to the leaders of his worldwide Movement at the end of 2006, Maharishi said that by Guru Purnima on 29 July 2007, he would like to create in the Brahmasthan (the central region) of India, the Capital of Global Raam Raj, with facilities for 16,000 Yogic Flying Vedic Pandits performing Yoga and Yagya together in one place. His Excellency Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, announced that this Capital of Global Raam Raj will be inaugurated on 12 January 2007.

There will be 192 groups of 121 Vedic Pandits in the centre of India. This is the number (121) required for performing Maha Rudrabhaishek, which will enliven the field of Rudra, or Shiva, infinite silence, infinite peace, in world consciousness. The 192 groups refers to the number of countries in the world, so each country will have its own group of Vedic Pandits performing Yagyas for that country.

Every country in the world will be taken care of simultaneously, and have the Constitution of the Universe, the Will of God, enlivened on its behalf.

The Inauguration of the Capital of Global Raam Raj will be the main theme of the Celebration on 12 January 2007. Architects and leaders of the Global Country of World Peace have already departed for India to begin construction of these facilities for the 16,000 Vedic Pandits.

Dr Morris also announced that on 12 January 2007, each Ministry of the Global Country of World Peace will be presented with a gold placard by His Majesty Maharaja Nader Raam, first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace. This placard will lay out for each Ministry the detailed programmes and activities they will perform for the world for all time to come.

His Majesty will also present to each of his Rajas, his Ministers, and the National Leaders of the Global Country, a red box containing Raam Mudra, the global development currency. These funds are not to be spent, but indicate the beginning of Raam Raj; and in accepting this treasury, the Rajas and Ministers accept their responsibility to create global Raam Raj, the administration of Total Natural Law, the Will of God, in their own domain.

10 January 2007 is the birthday of His Majesty Maharaja Nader Raam, which will be a three-day celebration culminating with the Inauguration of Global Raam Raj on 12 January 2007.

Maharishi felt that these celebrations would be so unique that he wanted everyone around the world to know about them and to enjoy the broadcast worldwide by both satellite television and the Internet on 12 January.

The birthday celebration of His Majesty Maharaja Nader Raam is being broadcast live each day on the Maharishi Channel. For information on the broadcast schedule and replays, please see the Global Good News article: or check the Maharishi Open University home page for latest updates.
