On 24 November 2006 The Plain Dealer reported:
News is out of the plans of the movement founded by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to build centres in Parma, Strongsville, and Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The Global Country of World Peace is on a mission to build 3,000 Peace Palaces worldwide. Ten of them will eventually be built in Ohio,' reported the Plain Dealer.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
The article reported that according to Zanna Feitler, director of the Maharishi Enlightenment Center in Woodmere, the Peace Palaces will create peace in Ohio and around the world by bringing inner peace, health, and greater prosperity.
Classes will be offered in health-creating techniques such as nutrition and Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation. The Peace Palaces will also provide 'consultation services so people can build homes in harmony with natural law', which takes into consideration site location and building techniques.
The Peace Palaces are the idea of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi the founder of Transcendental Meditation, which is a 'simple, natural, effortless technique' that allows the practitioner to be 'completely at peace' the article stated.
The Plain Dealer explained that according to Feitler if 'even 1 per cent of the population practises Transcendental Meditation, it can reduce crime, sickness, and accidents and improve the economy'.
Three Peace Palaces will soon be under construction in Parma, Mayfield, and Strongsville, with plans to be open within two years, the Plain Dealer reported.
