Today is the 7th day of the seventh month of Dutch national consciousness rising to invincibility, as indicated by the following press reports:

18 October 2006

NRC Handelsblad: 'Prime Minister: Intelligentsia has fallen asleep' - In a book by the Prime Minister coming out today, he says that he is worried about the lack of engagement by the intellectual forefront of Holland. On the other hand he is very pleased with the achievements of our sport ice skaters: 'They are a symbol for what Holland has to be: a small country that matters, that commands respect, that knows how to set about its work.'

NRC Handelsblad: 'Logo for 50 years jubilee of European Union' - The inception of the European Union 50 years ago is being commemorated with a new colourful logo presented yesterday. The logo symbolizes the European unification and says 'Together, since 1957'. The EU hopes to give the message that Europe is united although diverse.

Het Financieele Dagblad: 'Europe enhances revenues of Manpower. Dutch revenues rise 30%' - The American temporary employment agency Manpower is relying more on the European markets. The revenues in Holland, Italy, and France are rising faster than in their home base in the US.

Het Financieele Dagblad: 'Taxes make social-ethical investment more attractive' - The Netherlands is the only country in the world that has a fiscal regulation for people who invest with a social conscience. People who invest in one of the three social-ethical funds of Triodos Bank, Oikocredit or ASN/Novib receives a bonus from the Treasury. They are allowed an exemption of up to € 52,579 from the capital gains tax of 1.2%.

De Telegraaf: 'Till now only 13 murder victims in the capital. Remarkably few crime fatalities.' - The capital of Amsterdam is going to set a low violence record for the number of deaths due to violent crime. Only 13 murders have been recorded till now. Last year there were 35, and the years before 26, 37, 23 and 34.

De Telegraaf: 'Fiscal benefit also for clean diesel driver' - Not only buyers of a diesel car with a soot filter should be rewarded with a subsidy of € 600, also lease drivers of such cars should get the same benefit. And since there are 800,000 lease cars in Holland the impact of this will be significant.

De Telegraaf: 'Trade surplus for Holland in August came out to be € 1.9 billion.' - reports the Central Bureau of Statistics. The value of € 25.1 billion exports was 13% higher than in August 2005 and the value of imports was 14% higher at € 23.4 billion.

Trouw: 'Brussels starts offensive against energy wasters' - Refrigerators, televisions, computers, boilers—they all ought to be using less energy. The European Commission wants to enforce this thriftiness, which is a necessity because the EU is depending on other nations for energy supply. Also, some serious promises have been made to protect the environment.

De Telegraaf: 'Storm umbrella withstands wind force 10' - A new invention by three industrial designers from the Technical University in Delft would keep us dry even in the most horrible weather: an umbrella that cannot turn over, and is virtually unbreakable. They worked on it for two years, and have tested it in the wind tunnel of the University.

Creating national invincibility

Groups of experts in Yogic Flying are engaged in creating coherent national consciousness in the Netherlands, United States, Canada, Hamsa (Hungary), and an increasing number of other nations, which are enjoying a dramatic and sustained upsurge in positive economic and social trends.

Dr Paul Gelderloos, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace for the Netherlands, reports that 400 Yogic Flyers have been assembled at MERU, the Netherlands, since 12 April 2006.

Extensive research published in the world's leading scientific journals has found that the group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme Yogic Flying by the square root of one per cent of a population is sufficient to reduce negative trends, including crime and violence, and to promote positive economic and social tendencies throughout society.

The cost to train and employ such a group is a small fraction of what any government spends on its military in a single day.

Maharishi's approach to invincibility is in sharp contrast to the conventional military approach. 'Our approach does not require the government to sacrifice the youth for the sake of the nation—because when the youth are killed in war, then for whom is the nation?' Maharishi said.

The harmony and progress of the human race are founded on the internal harmony and progress of every individual. No stress, no strain, no impediment, no difficulty can withstand the totally benign influence of the enlivenment of the Unified Field of Natural Law, the field of Transcendental Consciousness, the field of pure knowledge, through Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme.
