Dr John Hagelin has productive meetings in Geneva with international organisations, leading scientists, and government representatives

Renowned scientist, author, and peace activist, and International Director of the Global Union of Scientists for Peace, Dr John Hagelin concluded one week of meetings in Geneva, including a standing-room-only public conference at Swissotel Metropole. On the basis of cutting-edge discoveries in modern science, he delineated a strategy to create a coherent, integrated national consciousness in order to protect every nation from undesirable influences. Dr Hagelin came to Geneva at the invitation of Dr Felix Kägi, Raja of Switzerland, who is working at making Switzerland 'invincible'—stable, peaceful, coherent, and resistant to negative influences.

A technology of peace

Dr Hagelin reminded the audience that conventional means of defence are ineffective against terrorism or weapons of mass destruction. Referring to the most recent discoveries in modern physics, he explained that the unified field of energy and intelligence from which creation emerges is a level which is infinitely more powerful than the nuclear or chemical levels, for example. Human consciousness, in its least excited state, can open itself to this unified field and generate at this fundamental level a powerful influence of peace and harmony in collective consciousness, neutralizing stress and negativity. Numerous studies, published in scientific journals such as Yale's Journal of Conflict Resolution, have confirmed this influence. 'We have more scientific confirmation of this effect,' says Dr Hagelin, 'than of the effect of aspirin!'

In Switzerland, a group of a few hundred peace creators, employed to practise the technologies of consciousness, will be enough to create this state of peace and invincibility for the country. Dr Hagelin insists that only a more coherent national consciousness can solve the problems of our time. He explains that at a global level, a group of 8,000 experts is enough: 'Such a group of professional peace creators can be endowed in perpetuity for a fraction of the cost of a B2 stealth bomber!'

Dr Hagelin's recently founded Global Union of Scientists for Peace (GUSP) provides a new path to disarmament on the basis of proven, non-violent conflict resolution strategies.

Our leaders cannot think clearly in wrongly oriented buildings

Dr Volker Schanbacher, physicist and President of Maharishi University of World Peace, was also in Geneva with Dr Hagelin to present principles of invincibility as observed in physics, chemistry, and biology.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the sage who in the last 50 years has brought to light the ancient Vedic technologies of peace, including Transcendental Meditation, addressed the Geneva public through videoconference from The Netherlands. Confirming the validity of the principles presented by Dr Hagelin, he observed that talks have limited value, as leaders, even those convinced by sound scientific principles, do not apply the proposed solutions. This is caused in large part, Maharishi explained, by their difficulty in thinking clearly because they are living and working in wrongly oriented buildings. Maharishi invited local and international leaders in Geneva to abandon their wrongly oriented, misfortune-creating offices in favour of buildings correctly oriented towards the East, as recommended in the Vedic tradition of architecture in accord with Natural Law, and confirmed by Dr Hagelin on the basis of recent discoveries on the sensitivity of the human brain to orientation.

'So, we do not expect too much from governments,' concluded Raja Felix Kägi at the end of Dr Hagelin's stay, 'We hire builders to rebuild, we teach the technologies of consciousness to create a coherent atmosphere through group practice, and we raise our whole nation to the level of invincibility — Heaven on Earth.'
