On 5 December 2005 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported: The Global Country of World Peace plans to construct four marble-clad, two-story Maharishi Peace Palaces in the Pittsburgh area. The palaces, built to bring harmony to individuals and the environment through the ancient wisdom of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, range in size from 5,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet, and will offer spa treatments, Vedic Vibration Technology, exhibition halls, classrooms, a wide range of health products, and facilities for the group practice of TM, including Yogic Flying. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

Pittsburgh's Peace Palaces will be co-directed by Ralph Emmerich and Lisa Ashelman, both of whom have doctorates in world peace from Maharishi European Research University in Vlodrop, Holland. Both are certified teachers of Transcendental Meditation.

It's believed health benefits and good fortune can be designed directly into a building's foundation, based upon, among other factors, the direction it faces and the spatial relationship of rooms to each other. Mr Emmerich said the primary sources of funding for the Peace Palaces will be developers, private donations, bank loans, and World Peace Bonds through the tax-exempt Global Country of World Peace.

According to its website, the Global Country of World Peace was created 'to establish global world peace by unifying all nations in happiness, prosperity, invincibility, and perfect health, while supporting the rich diversity of our world family'.

More than 6 million people worldwide practise the Transcendental Meditation Technique. Scientific research and practitioners report that the technique, in which an individual spends 20 minutes meditating twice a day, can result in greater creativity and increased energy.

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
