Rajas offer achievements and plans for establishing the Age of Enlightenment

On 22 July, Rajas of the Global Country of World Peace, offered their achievements of the previous year and their goals for the future at an international conference attended by many thousands of citizens of the Global Country of World Peace, peace-loving citizens and practitioners of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique in every nation, gathered at the elegant international Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland, or connected via satellite and Internet broadcast.

There are 22 Rajas, each responsible for bringing the life-supporting programmes of the Global Country of World Peace to the 10-12 countries in his care.

Raja Paul Potter, the Raja of New York, whose other areas of responsibility around the world include Austria, The Netherlands Antilles, Slovakia, Ukraine, Uruguay, Gambia, and the Republic of Congo was one of the speakers. Following is a paraphrase of his talk.

His Highness began by saying that we stand today with fullness of heart, on a plateau from where we can see behind us the end of the age of ignorance and see stretching out before us the Dawn of the Age of Enlightenment. Only Maharishi could have imagined accomplishing such a thing in one generation. Such a change in the trends of time could never have been accomplished on the level of individual effort. It could only be accomplished with the grace of the Master, the Light of God. Beginning like the first drops of the Ganges and finding fulfilment in Ganga Sagar, this transformation began 50 years ago when Maharishi left the Himalayas to fill the world with pure knowledge. Raja Potter said that this is a turning point in the history of mankind: a transformation from a time of suffering in the name of God to a time where everyone can experience the Light of God in his own nature; a transformation from the boundaries of objective science to the knowledge of the Constitution of the Universe within everyone—brought to light by the discovery of His Majesty Maharaja Nader Raam that everyone has a Cosmic Physiology.

Raja Paul Potter quoted a passage from the Ramayana in Sanskrit: Raam Raj dukh kahu na vyapa 'In the rule of Raam, suffering belongs to no one.' His Highness said that the coronation of His Majesty Maharaja Nader Raam made this a living reality for us five years ago, and the coronation of 22 Rajas will make it a living reality for everyone on earth.

His Highness said that in his domain there are now more than 40 recertified Governors (Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique) as well as 12 new Enlightenment Centres, the first of which was established by Dr Chris Crowell in Philadelphia. Twelve beautiful pieces of land have been acquired for the purpose of building Peace Palaces. Much of this land, Raja Potter said, was discovered by the great explorer Richard Quinn, who embodies so completely the principle that came out the day before yesterday that it doesn't matter who does it, it only matters that it gets done, and also the principle 'I will do it immediately.'

Eighty acres in Princeton, New Jersey, have been acquired for an International University of World Peace, and 815 acres have been acquired 45 minutes from downtown New York City which will be used for Vedic Organic Agriculture. The latter piece is prime agricultural land, which will transform the whole population by offering food that is nectar rather than poison. A Peace Palace will also be built on this land beginning in August, and in addition, there are plans to have a 500-room Vedic Agricultural College there.

His Highness also offered a capital and university of deep silence in Livingston Manor, New York. More than 150 rooms of the original buildings have recently been renovated and a new campus built according to principles of Vedic Architecture will soon be constructed starting in August. Raja Paul Potter concluded by saying that all these achievements, all these gifts of Total Knowledge he offers back to the source of this knowledge, and that he looks forward to a time of Raam Raj dukh kahu na vyapa, a time when problems and suffering belong to no one.

Prime Minister Bevan Morris commented that New York has an immense effect on the destiny of the whole world. It's a critical area of the world and thus efforts to bring Maharishi's knowledge into this vast, creative population will influence the whole world.

Many other Rajas such as Raja Dillbeck, Raja Willem, Raja Felix and Raja Dean, gave similar talks, offering achievements including acquistion of land, establishment of consciousness-based schools, coherence-creating groups of Yogic Flyers, and many plans to make every area of life Vedic within their domains. Each Raja expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Maharishi for giving the world the knowledge that can make heaven on earth a living reality.

The conference took place in the grandeur of the international Capital of the Global Country of World Peace, set amidst magnificent formal gardens, fountains and acres of woodland. Its elegant, spacious central building, constructed of all-natural materials, was designed entirely according to the principles of Vedic Architecture.

Inside, the conference halls were lavishly decorated with golden thrones for the Rajas, large arrangements of fresh flowers and stately greenery, graceful silk draperies, and luxurious red carpeting. They were filled to capacity with more than a thousand dedicated leaders and supporters of the Global Country of World Peace.

Presiding over the conference was His Majesty Maharaja Nader Raam, first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, 22 Rajas, and many illustrious ministers and leaders of the Global Country of World Peace.

Most importantly, the conference was blessed by the presence of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, world's foremost scientist and Vedic scholar who introduced Transcendental Meditation and knowledge of Total Natural Law to the world for perfection in individual and national life.
