Akshaya Tritiya Celebration will be replayed on the Maharishi Channel beginning Sunday, 25 April.

The Akshaya Tritiya Celebration will be played all day Sunday beginning at 6.00am UK Time, midnight US Central Daylight time (Telstar 5), 07:00 Central Europe time (Hotbird 6). Replays will continue on Tuesday-please see next week's broadcast schedule for broadcast times. (3 hours) - see www.MOU.org This replaces previously scheduled programming on Sunday.

Highlights of the Akshaya Tritiya Celebration of April 22nd

Following Puja to Guru Dev, the Global Country of World Peace acquired or entered into agreements to acquire over 1,550 acres of land in and near Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa. The purchase price was denominated in Raam. The Raam is the gold-backed Global Development Currency of the Global Country of World Peace. The land was acquired for a campus for 8,000 American students to create peace for the US and the world. An inspiring ground-breaking ceremony was held on the land for this campus at the auspicious moment on Akshaya Tritiya.

His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi addressed the Celebration with a beautiful and inspiring talk in which he expressed absolute fulfilment with the progress of his global organisation, including the administration of His Majesty Raja Raam and the new Rajas. His Majesty Raja Raam gave a profound talk on Unity Consciousness and Maharishi's contribution to the world. Other presenters included the Mayor of Maharishi Vedic City, the Honorable Dr. Robert G. Wynne, His Excellency Dr. Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance and Planning of the Global Country of World Peace, and His Excellency Dr. John Hagelin, Minister of Science and Technology. The Celebration was conducted by His Excellency Dr. Bevan Morris, Minister of Enlightenment.

One major event of the day was placing 3,000 flags throughout Maharishi Vedic City, on the newly acquired land and the 160-acre Maharishi Vedic City Organic Farms, 3 miles north of the City. These 3,000 flags - one on each acre of land - represent the 3,000 Peace Palaces to be built around the world. Each time a Peace Palace is built, a delegation will come to Maharishi Vedic City and receive a flag for their Peace Palace.
