Dutch firm generates buzz with big fly larvae farm

On 11 June 2019 Reuters reported: Tiny fly larvae have Dutch firm Protix thinking big as it looks to produce enough fish food to generate 100 million servings of salmon a year. On Tuesday [11 June], the company opened one of the largest known farms dedicated to producing insects for use in animal feed, as it looks to boost output of cheap, environmentally friendly protein.
