The 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine went to the team who made discoveries of cells that constitute a positioning system in the human brain.
They have discovered that the brain reacts on a cellular level to the space we occupy, building up to an ''cognitive map'' or ''internal GPS,'' particularly in the hippocampus.
This means that science is starting to validate that the orientation and layout of a room, home, or office building has a direct impact on our bodies and minds—one of the main principles of Maharishi Vastu Architecture.
