A recent talk by Robert Keith Wallace, PhD, and Fred Travis, PhD,* is the featured video this month on ConsciousnessTalks—a monthly online series of TED-style talks focusing on the exploration and development of consciousness, presented by leading scientists, artists, and innovative thought-leaders from diverse fields.

In ''Physiology of Enlightenment: Scientific Research and Human Potential,'' Dr. Wallace and Dr. Travis explore new ways to objectively measure enlightenment.

Dr. Wallace recounts some of the earliest days of his seminal research on the effects of the Transcendental Meditation technique on the development of consciousness, and the ''Neurophysiology of Enlightenment.'' Furthering Dr. Wallace's work, Dr. Travis explains some of his recent discoveries regarding the TM technique and brain integration.

Dr. Wallace's and Dr. Travis's talk and others on the site were recorded live during last year's groundbreaking Our Conscious Future conference at Maharishi University of Management, exploring a future of new possibilities in the field of human development.

* Robert Keith Wallace, PhD, is recognized as the pioneering researcher in the neurophysiology of higher states of consciousness. His work is extensively published and cited in leading journals such as Science, Scientific American, and The American Journal of Physiology. To date, he has lectured in over fifty countries worldwide.

Fred Travis, PhD, is director of the Center for Brain, Consciousness, and Cognition at Maharishi University of Management. Its mission is to delineate brain functioning during higher stages of human development, focusing on the effects of the Transcendental Meditation technique. His development of the Brain Integration Report Card, which records growth in creativity and intelligence, has garnered wide media coverage around the world.
