This past summer Maharishi University of Management faculty researcher Dr Fred Travis spoke at the famed Esalen Institute in California as part of a five-day working conference involving 20 top meditation researchers who met to discuss the future of meditation research.

Dr. Travis presented on three categories of meditation and how effortless transcending during the Transcendental Meditation technique is the key for growth to higher states of human development.

He also traveled in Australia for two weeks in June, giving multiple presentations and media interviews in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. His presentations were attended by large audiences, and a number of those given in academic settings led to discussion of collaborations with researchers.
