First Global EEG Training Conference: Demonstrating worldwide the brain wave patterns of enlightenment

After learning how to use new, portable EEG equipment to present a live demonstration of the dynamics of total brain functioning during the Transcendental Meditation Technique, participants in the First Global EEG Training Conference, 4-6 December 2009, in MERU, Holland will learn about EEG patterns of enlightenment.

The announcement* of the conference continued, presented by the three eminent researchers who will be conducting it: Dr Robert Keith Wallace, Dr Fred Travis, and Dr Alarik Arenander.

The Saturday and Sunday conference sessions will go further into EEG patterns during and after meditation. Presentations will demonstrate how, through regular practice of Transcendental Meditation, the high level of coherence in EEG brain wave patterns during meditation becomes stabilized in activity—a characteristic of higher states of consciousness.

Between knowledge sessions there will be practical experience, such as learning to set up the equipment and test it on others.

Dr Arenander has conducted hundreds of live EEG demonstrations around the world, and says that audiences respond keenly to the visual display of brain wave coherence seen during Transcendental Meditation.

Dr Arenander will give the closing presentation on Sunday evening, reflecting on a historic lecture by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme and the Global Country of World Peace, in July 2005, in which he said that with brain mapping, we see Brahm—Totality of knowledge.

Said Dr Wallace, 'Maharishi always wanted a ''Transcendometer'' so people could verify that the practice is working and that they're getting results.' This conference, and the development of the portable EEG equipment, is a fulfilment of Maharishi's work over the past fifty years, he said. Participants will take the 'vision of enlightenment' all around the world.
