Fifteen medical doctors in Italy have concluded the second year of a three-year training course for health professionals in Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care.
The course structure is specifically designed to develop the necessary practical skills for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. It includes a section on learning the special method of Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis, and how to prescribe Maharishi Ayur-Veda treatments and herbal formulations for specific health conditions, a very useful tool that can be immediately applied in clinical practice.
Organizers of the programme have seen that by the end of the third year of training, all the course participants learn Transcendental Meditation, the consciousness approach of Maharishi Ayur-Veda. In October a new three-year course will start.
Ayur-Veda is the world's oldest and most comprehensive system of natural health care, which originated in the Vedic civilization of ancient India and is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an effective health science. Maharishi Ayur-Veda represents the modern restoration by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi of the complete and authentic practice of Ayur-Veda as recorded in the Vedic texts.
