That peaceful place that is 'the you within the you': Transcendental Meditation helps military veterans recover from trauma

A retired US Marine Corps officer and a clinical psychologist describe the importance of resilience in those serving in the armed forces, a quality which research has shown develops naturally through the practice of Transcendental Meditation.

The evidence now is that in combat stress the trauma actually changes the brain so that the ability to self-regulate isn't there.
