3 July 2012
The first Maharishi Vedic Health Clinic in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India is nearing completion. Offering a full range of facilities and services to guests, the clinic is being built to a high standard of dignity and comfort, as a beautiful home for Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Vedic health programmes.
The clinic features 48 'very comfortable and luxurious, beautifully appointed smaller rooms or suites, and 14 large suites', said Dr Girish C Varma,* describing the facilities recently. Onsite are 20 Panchakarma (rejuvenation therapy) treatment rooms and 8 consultation rooms, as well as conference rooms, seminar rooms, an audio-visual room, library and reading room, dining hall, and halls for the practice of Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques, including Yogic Flying.
Top-level Vaidyas (Maharishi Vedic Health experts), technicians, and other staff have been appointed, and many more are under recruitment and training, Dr Varma explained. There will also be daily live Vedic recitations at the clinic by Maharishi Vedic Pandits.
The Maharishi Vedic Health Clinic has signed an agreement with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya—Maharishi Vedic University—to offer all of its health-related courses for the training of Vaidyas and health technicians.
Other amenities of the clinic include 'a modern automatic kitchen, a lush green garden with open air marble Mandaps and colourful fountains, and many more really very beautiful facilities'. Also available for guests will be 24-hour internet capability, laundry and drycleaning service, ambulance service, and many other services.
The auspicious opening of the Maharishi Vedic Health Clinic has been scheduled for 20 September, according to the recommendation of Maharishi Vedic Astrology—a little over two months away, 'when the clinic will be fully functional', Dr Varma said.
Work is also progressing on a second health clinic in Bhopal, with 100 large rooms and very spacious suites, which will include all of the facilities featured in the first clinic.
