Distinguished faculty helped develop, will teach new Maharishi Ayurveda Wellness Consultant Certificate Program

The new Maharishi Ayurveda Wellness Consultant Certificate Program has been developed by a distinguished faculty of Vedic scholars and modern medical experts at Maharishi European Research University, Netherlands and Maharishi College of Perfect Health-USA, including members of the Council of Vaidyas (expert physicians) of Maharishi Ayurveda. The training course begins 28 October at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa.

With participants from all over the world, the training gives options for attending the sessions live at MUM, or at a distance by interactive web-conference; as well as viewing archived recordings and course materials online.
Course faculty Stuart Rothenberg, MD, FAAFP, is Director of Medical Education, Maharishi Ayurveda Association of America, and Adjunct Associate Professor, MUM Maharishi College of Perfect Health. Dr. Rothenberg has nearly 30 years' experience as national director of health professional training programs in Maharishi Ayurveda and as medical director of clinics specializing in the application of Maharishi Ayurveda in the prevention and treatment of chronic disease. He has worked extensively with leading Ayurvedic experts under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's direction to develop the Maharishi Ayurveda health professional training curriculum.
Vaidya H. K. Gupta, D.N.M, MD (Ayurveda). Dr. Gupta has over 30 years' experience in teaching, research, and clinical consulting in Ayurveda in India, Europe, and North America. He was formerly director of Maharishi Ayurveda programs at The Raj in Fairfield, Iowa and at Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Lancaster, Massachusetts. In collaboration with the Maharishi University of Management faculty, Dr. Gupta was instrumental in developing and teaching the curriculum for undergraduate and Ph.D. degree programs in Maharishi Ayurveda at MUM.
R. Keith Wallace, Ph.D., was the founding president of Maharishi International University and is currently a Trustee and Chairman of the Department of Physiology and Health at Maharishi University of Management. His is famous for his pioneering research in mind-body medicine which established the existence of Transcendental Consciousness, the fourth major state of consciousness. Dr. Wallace is author of three books, including The Neurophysiology of Enlightenment.
Paul Morehead, Ph.D., is Associate Chair, MUM Department of Physiology and Health, and Associate Dean, Maharishi College of Perfect Health. Dr. Morehead has 24 years of experience teaching and practicing Maharishi Ayurveda at Maharishi University of Management and participated in the development of the international curriculum on Maharishi Ayurveda.
Deacon Carpenter, Certified Ayurvedic Health Consultant. Deacon has been immersed in Maharishi Ayurveda and Yoga since the age of 16. He left a 15-year career in global advertising in New York City to be trained as an Ayurvedic health consultant and has developed a successful consulting practice in California.
