On 28 October, Maharishi College of Perfect Health at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, inaugurates the new Maharishi Ayurveda Wellness Consultant Certificate Program.
The program is an in-depth course to train individuals in the practical knowledge of Maharishi Ayurveda—the timeless knowledge of complete health for the individual and society contained in the Vedic Literature; its application to client health issues; and how to successfully gain and retain clients and promote services within a community.
Graduates will be able to consult with clients, family, and friends, helping them achieve higher levels of health and wellness through Maharishi Ayurveda.
The 105-hour training course is taught in five 3-day weekend modules of 21 hours per module. Each module will be taught at Maharishi University of Management from Friday evening through Monday afternoon.
The first module will be offered October 28-31, 2011. Participants will have the option of attending the sessions live at MUM, or at a distance by interactive web-conference; missed sessions can be made up by viewing archived recordings and course materials online.
Who should attend?
The course does not require previous training in Maharishi Ayurveda. It is particularly applicable for individuals in the following categories:
∙ Licensed health professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, massage therapists, etc.
∙ Non-licensed health professionals, including yoga therapists, fitness trainers, and other wellness practitioners.
∙ Non-professionals with a background and interest in health who would like to deepen their knowledge of Maharishi Ayurveda.
The Maharishi Ayurveda Wellness Consultant Certificate Program has drawn inquiries from all over the world, including Eastern Europe and Australia, said David Lonsdorf, program administrator.
