Germany: Top health and wellness guide recognizes Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre - Bad Ems

The Maharishi Ayurveda Private Clinic – Bad Ems, Germany has been awarded two 'lilies' for 'exceptional performance' by the highly respected RELAX GUIDE. Highlights mentioned in the award include, among other things, 'very good therapies, high-quality oils, and good medicines'.

For its 2011 edition the RELAX GUIDE, which is the most important wellness and health guide in the German-speaking world, independently tested and critically evaluated all Ayurveda Hotels in Europe. The results are summarized in the current extra section entitled 'Ayurveda treatments in Europe', which formed part of a well-researched and significant introduction.

In addition, the importance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for the development and current status of Ayurvedic medicine is recognized in the text of the book.

Only 21 establishments offering residential Ayurveda met the standardized criteria for inclusion in the test. In Germany and Austria alone there are 700 wellness spa hotels offering Ayurvedic treatments. Out of a total of 1,374 establishments tested for their performance quality, only 20 per cent have achieved one or more 'lilies'.
