Transforming any existing city into an ideal Garden City
VedicCityPlanning.com Translate This Article
1 August 2011
VedicCityPlanning.com outlines four phases of transformation that could be applied to any city, utilizing principles of Maharishi Vedic architecture.
Phase I Controlling the expansion of the city by establishing a master plan with parallel roads in true east-west, north-south directions.
Phase II Construction of garden colonies and Maharishi Vastu* satellite towns around the city, free from pollution, noise, and stress, set in landscaped gardens.
Phase III Starting to demolish the congested city center, replacing it with a beautiful central garden (Brahmasthan), parks, and fountains.
Phase IV Final stage of the expanded garden city, providing ideal living conditions, including modern communication and transportation systems.
The Institute of Vedic City Planning of Maharishi University of Management offers consultation to city planners, urban designers, government departments of city and country planning, developers and others on how to implement the ancient, natural law based principles of Maharishi Vedic architecture* and city planning for good health, success, and protection of cities and developments.
* Maharishi Vedic city planning is a system that is unique in the world today for its effectiveness in creating human well-being and restoring balance in nature. Therefore it isĀ referred to as Maharishi Vedic®; architecture and planning or the Vastu Vidya of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda (a shortened term is Maharishi Vastu®).
