The profound health benefits experienced through the natural, holistic approach of Maharishi Ayur-Veda are inspiring research at top universities and institutions.
There are currently 14 such research studies underway in various areas of health, said Dr Anand Srivastava, head of Maharishi Ayur-Veda products in India.
Research in the area of diabetes, for example, indicates that the functioning of the pancreas can be revived, and research in this area is continuing, he said.
A preliminary study at a prestigious institution in the field of respiratory health found a Maharishi Ayur-Veda product for asthma to effectively reduce asthma and related symptoms.
Encouraged by long-time research conducted at two premier institutions—All India Institute of Medical Sciences and King George Medical College—as well as others in the United States, a world-renowned institution has decided to study reduction of chemotherapy toxicity with the help of the Maharishi Ayur-Veda product Amrit Kalash.
'All India Institute of Medical Sciences, which is the most premier institute in india', is also conducting a large study on hypertension, said Dr Srivastava.
