The programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi are blossoming in Canada through First Nations communities and groups of Yogic Flyers.
Impressed by scientific research and results seen with the Transcendental Meditation Programme, First Nations leaders are taking the initiative in introducing Transcendental Meditation in their communities and in their health care programmes.
This was especially clear at a recent conference on diabetes—a major health concern among First Nations, on which the Transcendental Meditation Programme has been shown to have beneficial effects.*
Courses and assemblies for practitioners of Transcendental Meditation and the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, are offered month after month at a beautiful location in Canada. These assemblies create an influence of coherence, peace, harmony, and positivity in the environment. The facility is now full to overflowing, making other arrangements necessary to accommodate everyone.
* Research on Transcendental Meditation has found reduced insulin resistance in pre-diabetics. In addition, preliminary data from several American Indian reservations show significant decreases in blood glucose levels, a normalization of blood pressure rates, reduced stress, and improvements in general mental and physical well-being.
