International courses for physicians and health professionals in Maharishi Ayur-Veda

Knowledge of Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care is becoming increasingly available to medical doctors around the world.
'Maharishi Mahesh Yogi wanted to use the best of medical knowledge—which is Ayur-Veda, for longterm treatment and prevention—and when necessary also modern western medicine,' said Robert Schneider, MD, in a talk on 4 February. Dr Schneider is dean of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health.
Medical doctors trained in Maharishi Ayur-Veda have been sharing their expertise with others in their field, Dr Schneider said.
Dr Walter Molk, Deputy Minister of Health for the Global Country of World Peace, has been giving many training courses in Maharishi Ayur-Veda for physicians in Latin America and Eastern Europe.
Stuart Rothenberg, MD, Director of Health Professional Training Programs, Maharishi Ayur-Veda Association of America, has been giving lectures at the renowned Scripps medical institute in San Diego, California, USA, 'a destination medical center', Dr Schneider said.
'They have invited the Maharishi Ayur-Veda Association of America to give continuing medical education courses in Maharishi Ayur-Veda—and that's for credit. CME, or Continuing Medical Education is something that every allopathic physician needs to do maintain his or her license,' he explained.
Dr Rothenberg, along with Dr Nancy Lonsdorf, is teaching a four-weekend course, much of it for continuing education credit.
Many hundreds of doctors in the USA have taken courses in Maharishi Ayur-Veda—and thousands around the world, Dr Schneider reported.
An international meeting of Maharishi Ayur-Veda health professionals, doctors, and other healthcare practitioners is planned for this summer, he said.
