The article features Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, which recently inaugurated the new Center for the Advancement of Latino/Hispanic Health and Prevention.

The new centre will help assess the specific health needs of the growing Latino population in Iowa, and also help advance and promote Consciousness-Based health programmes to all minority groups living in the state.

Maharishi University of Management is a recognized leader in Consciousness-Based Education, which includes the Transcendental Meditation Programme, and in research on natural medicine. The university offers America's first pre-med programme with natural health care, and is now also developing the first integrative medical school in the country. MUM also offers a natural health programme for all students.
